THE SPATIAL ARCHITECTURE & MICRO-LIVING ENGINEERING
AstroNest Tech Corp required a fully functional smart micro-living showroom pavilion to showcase their next-generation planetary-cabin modular housing units. The spatial objective was to deploy a self-contained, lightweight, and freestanding pavilion within a high-traffic Grade-A retail atrium.
The spatial strategy focused on three core engineering pillars:
- Aerospace Modular Aluminum Framing: Precision 6061-T6 aluminum extrusion profiles supporting honeycomb core composite panels, reducing transport payload and cutting on-site assembly time by 60%.
- Passive Convective Ventilation & Thermal Control: Double-skin panel architecture featuring concealed ventilation slots powered by a low-draw 24V silent fan array, maintaining continuous airflow without external HVAC ducting.
- Zero-Penetration Freestanding Platform: A load-distributing floor platform engineered under strict zero-drilling lease caps, protecting delicate atrium marble while housing concealed low-voltage power channels.
“Creating a micro-living sanctuary within a commercial atrium requires resolving extreme physical constraints. By pairing lightweight aerospace aluminum framing with passive convective double-skin panels, we engineered an autonomous pavilion that operates seamlessly under strict zero-drilling lease caps.”
